Hi Jordan, this is Alex from DripAgent. I know I'm calling out of the blue. Can I take 30 seconds to tell you why I called, and then you can decide if it's worth talking further?
The reason I'm calling: We help SaaS teams turn more trial signups into paying customers. For example, [customer result]. I'm not sure yet if that fits Acme Analytics, so can I ask two quick questions?
Not interested: That's fair, I did call out of the blue. Just so I don't bother you again for the wrong reason, is that because solving trial signups that never turn into paying customers isn't a priority right now, or because you already have it handled?
Send me an email: Happy to. So I send something useful instead of a generic brochure, can I ask one quick question about trial signups that never turn into paying customers? Then I'll keep the email to a few lines.
We already use something / happy with our current vendor: Good to hear you have something in place, and I'm not asking you to switch. Where, if anywhere, does your current setup fall short on trial signups that never turn into paying customers?
No budget: Understood, and I'm not asking for a purchase today. Would it still be useful to see what fixing trial signups that never turn into paying customers could be worth, so you have the numbers ready for your next planning cycle?
Call me later / I'm busy: Of course. I'll keep it short next time. Would Tuesday at 10 a.m. or Thursday at 2 p.m. be better for a quick call?
Who are you again?: It's Alex with DripAgent. We haven't spoken before. I'm calling because we help SaaS teams turn more trial signups into paying customers, and I wanted to see if that's relevant for Acme Analytics. Do you have 30 seconds?

Based on what you've shared, I think a short working session would be worth your time. Would Tuesday at 10 a.m. or Thursday at 2 p.m. work better for 20 minutes? I can send the invite while we're on the phone.
Hi, this is Alex from DripAgent. I'm hoping to reach Jordan, the Founder. Could you put me through, or let me know the best time to catch them? It's about trial signups that never turn into paying customers, and I'll keep it brief.
Hi Jordan, it's Alex from DripAgent. I'm calling because we help SaaS teams turn more trial signups into paying customers. For example, [customer result]. I'll send you a short email as well. If it's worth a conversation, you can reach me at [your phone number]. Again, that's Alex at [your phone number]. Thanks.
About 21 seconds at 150 words per minute. Aim for 20-30 seconds.

Scripts are generated in your browser from templates. Nothing you type is sent to DripAgent. Replace every [placeholder] and only use proof you can verify.
Add your name, company, one-line offer, and the prospect's name, role, and company or industry.
Choose whether the call should book a meeting, qualify, get a referral, or follow up on an email, then pick a permission-based, problem-led, trigger-event, or email follow-up opener.
Select up to three pain points from a buyer persona or type your own, and add a real customer result if you have one.
Fill any highlighted placeholders, copy or download the script, and practice it out loud until the opener takes 30 seconds or less.
A cold call script is a short, structured talk track for calling someone who isn't expecting you. It covers an opener, the reason for the call, a few discovery questions, responses to common objections, and a clear ask such as booking a meeting.
Say who you are and which company you're with, give a one-sentence reason for calling that is relevant to the prospect, and ask a question or ask permission to continue. Spoken at around 150 words per minute, 30 seconds is roughly 75 words, so keep the opener and value statement tight.
Agree to send it, then ask one short question about their situation so the email is specific rather than generic. Confirm what would make the email worth opening and, if it fits, suggest a time to follow up.
Short enough to read in about a minute: an opener and reason for calling of 30 seconds or less, two to four discovery questions, one- to three-sentence objection pivots, and a single clear next step. Use it as a guide for a conversation, not a monologue.
In the U.S., cold calling is legal when you follow the rules. Under the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, sales calls to consumers at home are limited to 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time, callers must promptly disclose the seller, that the call is a sales call, and what is being sold, and numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry are off-limits unless an exception applies. Most business-to-business calls are exempt from the rule, but misrepresentations are still prohibited. Under FCC TCPA rules, telemarketing calls to mobile numbers using an autodialer or prerecorded voice need prior express written consent. This is not legal advice.
